Meeting Minutes
President Jerry opened the meeting and called on Robert Osborne who led the pledge and invocation.
Richard Harman introduced the guests and visiting Rotarians. No formal Sunshine Report was made, but President Jerry congratulated Gould Hagler on his recent engagement to be married.
President Jerry gave thanks to last week's Club Cart Challenger, Laverne Gold, and the Outside Challenger, Jessie Cummings, who helped us raise $258.08 for the fund.
The Club CART Challenger for the meeting is Hal Scott, and the Outside CART Challenger is Jani King.
President Jerry made the following announcements/presentations:

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Paul Harris Fellowship presentation to Bob Richards last week.
Frank Mulherin made a general announcement about District Conference May 1-3, and encouraged everyone to come and participate.

Guest Speaker:
Name: Scott Peoples
Topic: "Preparation for Active Shooter Episodes."
In the event of an "Active Shooter Episode" (or any other act of violence, in fact) there are three ways of responding: Run, Hide, or Fight. Having a plan allows a person or organization to increase the odds of survival. As Mr. Peoples colorfully describes it, "Make yourself a harder target."
Mr. Peoples shared a video with the meeting, produced by the City of Houston, illustrating what "Run, Hide, or Fight" might look like in a particular situation, and invited us to think about how that would look in our own particular contexts. A brief period of Q&A closed the presentation.
Next week's speaker will be Mohammad Davoud, Dean of the College of Engineering at GRU.
The meeting was adjourned following the recital of the Four-Way Test.
