Meeting Minutes

President Bill Keogh rang the bell and called the meeting to order.

Haskel Toporek led us in the Pledge and Invocation.

Brad Means gave the Sunshine Report today.

Matt Barrett called on club members to introduce their guest in attendance today

CART:  

President Bill asked everyone to contribute to the blue buckets on the tables. You may give online at mycartfund.org. Login credentials are the same as DACDB. Also, please complete our club’s Google form to sign up to be a Cart Challenger

Club Ambassador:  

 Dat Hoang presented a banner from his visit to the Baton Rouge, LA Rotary Club.

  • Service Project: Painting Murals (Telfair and East Boundary) – October 6 – 10
  • Columbus Day/Indigenous People Day (No meeting) - October 9th.
  • Dr. Davis Hess (Wellstar AU Health) – October 16th
  • Brad Usry (New Augusta Arena Referendum Update) – October 23rd.

Speed Networking

We are excited to bring this event back for the second year. In partnership with Augusta Rotary Club and welcoming our YPA alum to join in on the fun Tuesday, October 10th    5:30pm – 7:30pm RSVP today

Today’s Program

President Bill introduced our Guest speaker GRSP Student Victoria Jørgensen. Victoria gave us a presentation on her background, family and her hometown Denmark-Zealand-Kirke Hyllinge. Her Grandfather, Aunt, sisters Nikoline, 22 and Alberte, 24 were all past GRSP students.

Victoria has been an equestrian for 10 years and won her district championship in English Show Jumping. She enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, and kayaking.

Her bucket list includes Disney World, Rodeos, and the Masters.

Please consider including Victoria to any events you may have coming up this year.

President Bill led us in the four-way test and then adjourned the meeting.
