Meeting Minutes

President Bill rang the bell and called the meeting to order.  
Billy Franke gave the pledge and invocation.
Brenda Durant gave the Sunshine Report today.
Club members introduced their guests in attendance today.
Announcements

• Bill introduced our newest GRSP student Victoria Jorgensen from Denmark.
• Boy Scout Troop 1914, sponsored by Rotary, will have its first meeting on September 11th at Saint Luke Church at 5:30. 
• No meeting on Labor Day, September 4th.
• Paul Harris Fellows were awarded to Chand Akkineni and Synthia Gera Padala via T.R. Reddy.
• CART: President Bill asked everyone to please continue to contribute to the blue buckets on the table or online at mycartfund.org using the same login credentials you use with DACDB.

Guest Speaker/Program

Today’s Program was our clubs College Pick Em hosted by Stacy Tallent. There will be 14 weeks of picks, with 11 required weeks of play. The weekly winner will receive a $50 gift certificate. The pay-out for the top three season winners will be $400, $250 and $100. 

Jerry Rodgers represented Georgia Tech. “Go Jackets!” He predicted 6 wins. Rick Franza discussed Notre Dame football (no prediction). Dee Beaird discussed Clemson football (no prediction. Bill Franke predicted Auburn would go 10-2. Chris Mckinney had no prediction for LSU. Chuck Fuqua “Roll Tide” predicts a 12-0 season. Eddie Booth predicts UGA will win a third straight National Championship. Stacy Tallent predicts an 11-1 season and will “hang” high numbers on South Carolina. 

Bill led us in reciting the four-way test and then adjourned the meeting.
