Meeting Minutes
President Bill rang the bell and called the meeting to order.
Faye Hargrove gave the pledge and invocation.
Richard Rodgers gave the Sunshine Report today.
Club members introduced their guests in attendance today.
Announcements
- The club had a moment of silence in remembrance of Dr. Robert “Bob” Crumrine.
- Bob & Rome Goodman discussed his experience with the Rotary Youth Leadership Award.
- The program next week, August 21st will be with the Young Professionals of Augusta.
- The College Pick Em will be August 28. Please contact Stacy Tallent if you want to preview your favorite college team.
- No meeting on Labor Day, September 4th.
- A special advanced screening of the upcoming movie “The Hill” will be at the Miller Theater on August 23, contact member Bennish Brown for free invitations.
- Contact member A.K. Gulati for complementary tickets to India Day celebrations on August 26.

Guest Speaker/Program
Our guest speakers were Beverly Trainor, Beth Arro-Brown and Tate Simpson with Map International. Map International provides medicines and health supplies to those in need around the world so they might experience life to the fullest. The organization is a 69-year-old non-profit, which in 2022 provided over 700 million medicines in 79 countries. Locally, they provide medicines to free charitable clinics for major chronic diseases (hypertension, asthma, diabetes, cholesterol). They support 62 clinics over 7 states. The Druid Park Community Health Clinic is the only CSRA no cost clinic. Tate Simpson challenged the Club to donate time (hands & feet) to local free clinics.
Bill led us in reciting the four-way test and then adjourned the meeting.
