President Faye introduced our guess speaker Amy Breitmann, President, and CEO of Golden Harvest Food Bank.  Amy provided the history of Golden Harvest and its past leaders; Mike Firmin and Travis McNeal, she was proud to say she is the first woman to serve in this role and excited about leading Golden Harvest forward. Amy discussed the goal of ending hunger in 25 surrounding counties in GA and SC by using direct service programs such as Child Feeding Program, Senior Feeding Program, The Mobile Market Program, The Master’s Table Soup Kitchen and SNAP Advocacy.

Amy provided us with plans to expand their facility, currently underway at a projected cost of $10,300,00 with 7,900,00 secured funding to date. She went on to discuss Volunteer opportunities for their Soup Kitchen, Faith Food Factory sorting facility, The urban Farm, Mobile market food distributions and the Aiken Center.
