Meeting Minutes
President Shanda Vaughn rang the bell and called the meeting to order.
Jeff Flowers gave the pledge and invocation.
Bill Keogh gave the Sunshine Report today.
Club members introduced their guests in attendance today.
Announcements

- Everyone is encouraged to update their pictures and contact info on the DacDb website. This is the best way to access information on our club so please keep it updated.
Anna Reeves gave an update on the Literacy Committee.
Rotarian Highlight
President Shanda highlighted Rotary member TR Ready.
CART: President Shanda asked everyone to please continue to contribute to the blue buckets on the table or online at mycartfund.org using the same login credentials you use with DACDB.
New Member Induction
Dustin Young introduced our newest member Chris Willox, financial advisor. Welcome to the club, Chris!
Member Award
GRSP Director Katheryne Fields presented the GRSP Foundation Hue Thomas Fellow Award to Susan Jernigan.
Guest Speaker/Program
Dustin Young introduced our guest speaker Shell Berry, President/CEO of the Community Foundation of the CSRA.
Shell Berry discussed the role of the Community Foundation in connecting philanthropic community members with nonprofits and community initiatives within the CSRA. She discussed how the Foundation strives to cultivate generosity, strengthen non-profits, and engage the community. The Foundation has $158 million total charitable assets. The Community Foundation joined with the MCG Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club of the CSRA to build the two buildings called the Hub West and Hub East located on Chafee Avenue near the corner of Fenwick Street. The buildings will provide a common housing for local based nonprofits, The Hub West will house Augusta Locally Grown, Augusta University Literacy Center, Harrisburg Family Health Care and Rise Augusta.
President Shanda led us in reciting the four-way test and then adjourned the meeting.
