CART
Last week we raised $326 for the Cart Fund thanks to our inside challenger Clay Jolly and outside challenger Havird Usry and Southern Salad. This week the inside challenger is Tripp Harrison and the outside challenger is Ashley Hock-Smith, Membership Director with the Pinnacle Club.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
President Leland recognized AK Golotti for being the best dressed at last week’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The event was a huge success and President Leland thanked Leigh Porterfield and Ed Presnell for their help setting it up.
President Leland congratulated two members who made the local news. Stan Sheppard for receiving the 2019 Cyber Leadership Award and Havaird Usry on the recent announcement that he had purchased the Snow Cap Restaurant.
He reported that the club made a $320 donation to Augusta Tech to contribute to their GED scholarship fund. President Leland then asked Past President Kevin Wade to come forward and accept a check for $500 for the Augusta Literacy Project on behalf of our club.
President Leland called on Andrew Foushee, son of club member Steve Foushee. Andrew is the assistant pitching coach at Aquinas and is here today promoting a fundraiser to support the Aquinas baseball team. Anyone interested in purchasing a ticket to the game on June 9 should see Andrew after the meeting.

Linda McKnight introduced our newest member, Julie Ferguson, with the Burn Foundation.

President Leland presented Dr. Jeanette Cummings with her Paul Harris plus 4 pin.
PROGRAM
President Leland called on Janice Jackson to introduce our speaker Richmond County Marshall Ramon Lampkin.
Marshall Lampkin gave a presentation on the duties of the Marshall’s Office. This included the handling of security details within the county, civil services, illegal dumping and other duties of his office.
Following the presentation, President Leland led the club in the 4-way test and the meeting was adjourned at 1:15 PM.
REMINDERS
- Our next meeting will be April 1, 2019 and our speaker will be Dr. Karim from the Department of Hematology and Oncology.
- We will not meet on April 8, 2019 due to Masters Week.
