Meeting Minutes
President Jerry Rogers called the August 18, 2014, meeting to order and welcomed all Rotarians and guests. He emphasized that this is Membership Month and asked that all work toward new members for the Club.
The Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation were delivered by Erick Montgomery.
Susan Barcus welcomed visiting Rotarians and guests.
President Jerry Rogers thanked last wee's CART challenger, Betty Dyches and the outside challenger Jesse Cummins. The cart contributions and match amounted to $256.16.
Our next CART Challenger will Paul Wade and the Outside Challenger will be American Family Insurance Company.
The Sunshine report was given by Greg Deloach.
We had as a guest, Robert Hall, Rotary International Board of Directors. He asked us to accept the "Ice Bucket Challenge" to help defeat ALS.
The Paul Harris Fellow Plus One award was presented by Jerry Rogers to Robert Osborn and Ridge Whitehurst received the Paul Harris Fellow Plus Two award.
Our Program Speaker, John Sebby from the Salvation Army were introduced by Marc Miller. We were informed that 85.5% of their contributions go to program services in our area and are used primarily for Addiction Recover Programs.
After reminding the Club of the "100 Year Anniversary" celebration, the meeting closed with the four way test, led by President Jerry Rogers.
The bell rang to adjourn the meeting.
