Meeting Minutes

President Billy Franke opened the meeting and called on Jim Price who led the pledge and invocation. 

President Billy gave thanks to last week’s Club Cart Challenger, Sonny Tucker, and the Outside Challenger, Geral Jones Audi, who helped us raise $472.20 for the fund.

The Club CART Challenger for the meeting is Bob Baisden and the Outside Challenger C. Robert Baisden.

President Billy made the following announcements/presentations:

Kevin Wade received a Paul Harris Fellow x3 pin! Way to go Kevin! Thanks for the support. Greg Deloach is moving to Atlanta, let’s all wish him well. There is a service opportunity this Saturday at the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of History. Join us from 9am-1pm to help get the gardens and surrounding grounds looking good again! Don’t forget to Register for John Germ and there is no meeting next week.                      

Paul Danier introduced our speaker, Dr. David Harburchak who spoke about Malaria Treatment and Prevention. Dr. Harburchak gave a good talk on malaria. We don’t think about the disease too often, but cases can happen locally. Though local cases are rare, this is still a common problem in other parts of the world. 

There will be no meeting on November 23 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Our speaker on November 30 will be Steve Smith, Richmond County Marshal.

The meeting was adjourned following the recital of the Four-Way Test.
