Meeting Minutes
President Billy Franke opened the meeting and called on Jeff Spears who led the pledge and invocation. Pete Michenfelder introduced the guests and visiting Rotarians. Brad Means gave the Sunshine Report.
President Billy gave thanks to last week’s Club Cart Challenger, Charles Stewart, and the Outside Challenger, Gerald Jones Audi, who helped us raise $295.34 for the fund.
The Club CART Challenger for the meeting is Thom Tuckey and there is no outside challenger.
President Billy made the following announcements/presentations:
Some club members went to visit Plant Vogtle last Tuesday the 27th of October and enjoyed seeing the power plant! We should all make an effort to give Zsolt a call. His number is 762-444-9411. There are 2 service projects coming up: One project is this Saturday at the Michelle-Lydia House from 9-noon and the other is at the Laney Museum on Nov. 21st from 9-noon. Please remember to register for 02/15 for John Germ.
Paul Danier introduced our speaker, Ron May. Mr. May shared with us some information regarding the Rotary Foundation. Some of the highlights were how it is funded, who it supports and how we can further support its mission.
The meeting was adjourned following the recital of the Four-Way Test.
