Meeting Minutes

President Billy Franke called the meeting to order. Jeff Flowers led the pledge of Allegiance and the invocation. Aimee Hall introduced our guests and visiting Rotarians.

Last week's CART sponsor Sandy Dykes and the outside challenger, Jani-King raised $310.20 for CART. This week's CART sponsor is Regions Bank and the outside challenger is Regions Mortgage.
Greg Deloach gave the Sunshine Report.

President Billy made the following announcements and presentations

• He called on Leland Malchow to discuss a scholarship opportunity provided by the Norwegian Rotary Advisory Board. They are inviting three Georgia students to study in Norway next summer. The club is asked to help identify a candidate for this award. The final selection will be made by a committee of Trustees in each District. This scholarship is in appreciation of our support of the GRSP program.
• President Billy reminded the club to sign up for the meeting with Rotary International President John Germ. The meeting will be held at the Marriott on February 15th.

Kevin Grogan introduced our guest speaker, Mr. Alan Campbell who is a very distinguished environmental/expedition artist from Athens, GA. Mr. Campbell shared his extraordinary collection of paintings, drawings, and journals from his travels to the Arctic, South America, and Georgia's coastal waters. Mr. Campbell also shared his collection of wind shaped rocks that had been formed by being hammered for years with 100 mile per hour winds. His stories and pictures were truly incredible.

Next week's speaker is District Governor John Neely. President Billy led the club in the 4-Way Test and adjourned the meeting.
