Meeting Minutes

President Jerry opened the meeting and called on Jim Price, who led the pledge and invocation.

Richard Hermon introduced the guests and visiting Rotarians. Greg Deloach gave the Sunshine Report and shared some reflections on the coming of spring and new life .

President Jerry gave thanks to last week's Club Cart Challenger, Sunny Tucker, and the Outside Challenger, Kurt Epps, who helped us raise $271.52 for the fund.

The Club CART Challenger for the meeting is Betty Dykes and the Outside CART Challenger is Stacy Tallent.

President Jerry made the following announcements/presentations:
Raffle tickets are still available for District Conference. The Club Golf Tournament is May 19.

New Members:
Paul Dainer introduced new member Sherry Osborne. Welcome to Augusta Rotary, Sherry!

Guest Speaker:
Name: Christine Miller-Betts, Exec. Dir. of the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History
Topic: Introduction to the Museum

The speaker shared the story of Lucy Craft Laney, educator and community leader, whose home is now the museum's principal facility. The museum offers on-site programming and education opportunities, as well as facilitating a number of conferences and local tours in and around Augusta. The presentation concluded with the announcement of a planned expansion of the museum facilities.

There will be no meeting next week, due to the beginning of Masters' Week.

The meeting was adjourned following the recital of the Four-Way Test.
