Today’s Program

President Faye Hargrove came forward and introduced our speaker Matthew Nelson, Director of Development & Fundholder Services Community Foundation for the CSRA.

The roots of the Community Foundation for the CSRA run deep in Augusta and its surrounding communities. For more than 25 years, we have faithfully connected the philanthropic spirit of our community members with nonprofits and community initiatives throughout Richmond, Columbia, McDuffie and Burke counties in Georgia and Aiken and Edgefield counties in South Carolina. Their work is grounded in their collective desire to enhance the quality of life for all residents of our region — for today and tomorrow.

Matthew discussed becoming a donor and how their team can provide charitable expertise in ones giving. Your fund with the Community Foundation allows you to make charitable deposits when it makes sense financially and distribute grants whenever it is convenient. The Foundation does all the proper paperwork related to these gifts, making tax time easier for you. As a fundholder, you have access to our skilled staff who can provide you with expertise on community needs, gift planning, and fund administration. No matter your goals, we are here to help you find the best means to achieve them.

President Faye led us in the four-way test and then adjourned the meeting.
