Meeting Minutes
President Scott rang the bell and called the meeting to order. The pledge and invocation was given by Charles Hogg and Ella Catherine Williams. Carson Williams welcomed our guests and visiting Rotarians. Thanks to Ramone Lamkin and the outside challenger, Keith Jones Made to Measure. The club raised $236.31 for CART at our last meeting. Sam Means gave our Sunshine Report.
Announcements
- President Scott mentioned our club’s Signature Fundraiser. The club is asking members to buy or sell three tickets. We have 5 meeting left to purchase tickets before the raffle.
- Dustin Young discussed the Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. The mission of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
- No meetings on December 23rd and 30th due to Christmas and New Year's.
Program:
Christmas program: Carson Williams and Ella Catherine Williams lead the club in Christmas carols. Santa made a surprise visit. Thanks to Steve Foushee for providing Bruster's Ice Cream.
Following the presentation, President Scott led us in reciting the four way test and then adjourned the meeting.
