A Message From President Frank

Thanks for a great turnout for Assembly Day! We are blessed with much talent and many resources. I hope that each of you will accept the challenge to help your committee reach new heights.

Dont miss our speaker, Tim Mannix, next Monday. Tim is a fellow Rotarian from Charlotte and will be speaking on the Stop Hunger Now Project. This project will provide an opportunity for you, your family, or your employees to assist the people of Haiti.

Thanks for your service to Rotary!

Meeting Minutes for Monday, July 12, 2010

The meeting was called to order by our new President Frank. Ben Kay followed by recognizing the University of South Carolina Baseball team for winning the College World Series. In their honor he asked all USC Alumni to come forward and lead the group in the singing of Take Me Out to the Ball Game. Ben then led the group in the Pledge and delivered the Invocation.

Bob Parham welcomed the guests and visiting Rotarians.

The Cart Challenger for this week was Jimmy Richards. President Frank reported that the Cart Committee would be doing something different this year by adding a business sponsor to the weekly challenge. Pollock Office Machines was thanked for being the sponsor this week.

Richard Rogers presented the Sunshine Report.

President Frank recognized Past President Bob for his work this past year and his heartfelt message last week. Bob was given a standing ovation by the club.

President Frank thanked Hugh Green for updating the badge boxes and Herb Upton for the Rotary decals which were distributed to everyone in attendance.

Today's meeting was designated for Club Assembly so we did not have a guest speaker or other presentations. Committees were given time to meet with their members and make plans for the coming year.

President Frank reminded everyone to try to attend the next meeting to hear Tim Mannix speak on the Stop Hunger Now Project.

The meeting was adjourned with the 4-way test.
