Guest Speaker/Program

With this being his last official meeting as President, Bill provided us a slightly different “Year in Review” as he worked to answer the question, “Why bother with Rotary”.

While looking to answer this question, Bill shared many of the events, activities, and accomplishments of our club this year.  He also intertwined personal stories of his Rotary year which included meeting fellow Rotarians as far away as Tazmania.

At the conclusion of his remarks, President Bill provided his answer to the question, Why bother with Rotary?  Because, Rotary produces a positive attitude, Rotary allows you to have a worldwide impact on others, and Rotary provides worldwide fellowship with others.

Following his presentation, President Bill requested all Past Presidents stand in line to begin the traditional Passing of the Gavel which culminated with the gavel being presented to President Elect Surrendra Gupta.

President Surrendra then bestowed the most coveted title, that of Immediate Past President to Bill along with our eternal gratitude and several gifts in appreciation for his incredible year leading our club.

President Surrendra then showed a short video from Stephanie Urchick the 2024-2025 Rotary International President and introduced our Rotary theme, “The Magic of Rotary”.

President Surrendra led us in reciting the four-way test and then adjourned the meeting.
